Openings in Hitachi Big Data Lab at Santa Clara, CA

Hitachi America, Ltd. has openings in our newly established Big Data Laboratory in Silicon Valley. The laboratory will focus on technology innovation and business development for novel big data solutions. Leveraging Hitachi's technologies, the Big Data Laboratory will contribute to the realization of Hitachi's vision of "Social Innovation" and establish Hitachi as a leader in big data.

This lab offers a unique opportunity to create new ideas and technologies for solutions at the intersection of information technology and physical systems that can have far reaching impact for Hitachi and society at large. You will work with leaders in this space in the formative stages of the lab to help define and shape the big data agenda for the lab and the company.

At this stage we are looking for candidates with a Ph.D. or Master degree in machine learning, data mining, statistical modeling, databases or distributed computing, and a passion for taking technology from research to indutrial solutions.
