Lead by Dr Rachel McKendry, these positions are part of an £11M (total investment £16M) EPSRC funded Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Early-Warning Sensing Systems for Infectious Diseases. The purpose of these posts is to investigate how to exploit the vast amounts of web-accessible information sources to actively monitor and map emerging infections in real-time, integrating with current surveillance practices and who smart-phones could be used doe early diagnostics of infection.
