A regional Cloud Computing provider based in Dubai, UAE.is seeking an IT Operations Director to lead the service delivery and technical operations functions.
The Operations Director will be responsible for delivering the strategy for Operations in conjunction with his/her colleagues and the General Manager. The strategy will cover the Operational areas of Service Engineering, Service Delivery, Customer Service, Technical Support and Internal Systems for the effective delivery of the company's Cloud Services. The Operations Director will ensure that they are fully responsible for leading and driving the operations team towards service excellence.
The primary focus of this position will be to develop and implement an industry leading operational model that will allow the company to deliver service excellence for its client base. By placing an emphasis on service delivery and the process of education, for both staff and clients, the operations team will assist the organization to become a regional leader of cloud services.

Skills
IT related degree required, Masters level preferred
Five to ten years’ hands-on experience in an operational senior management role in a sophisticated and complex operational environment for a cloud service provider
Five to ten years of experience in increasingly responsible operational positions encompassing a broad range of managerial roles
Experience with the special requirements of operating in IT Managed Services business, specifically cloud services providing Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Software-as-a-Service
ITIL Foundations certified desired (Training will be provided)
Extensive experience directing server virtualization and / or
Cloud Computing environments essential (XenServer, VMWare, Hyper-V) we cloud-era or web-scale capacities
Proven experience in the design, delivery and operations of monitoring, infrastructure management and service management systems and tools, specifically Linux-based
Able to design and deploy cross-platform, heterogeneous solutions to the customer
Experience working in enterprise data centre (Tier-III and Tier-IV) technologies and practises
Operational experience in managing/maintaining complex virtualized technology environments
Extensive practical experience of implementing ITIL processes (essential) and CMMI (desired)
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
Superior management and interpersonal skills
Excellent creative and problem solving skills
Strong team player orientation
