  The Department of Information Management, Beijing Normal University
in Beijing, China is seeking applicants for an opening faculty
position in the area of Library Science, Information Science, or
Computer Science. The position has responsibilities for teaching and
research in one or more areas of information analysis and management,
digital libraries, information system development, information
retrieval, and information visualization. The rank of the position
could be lecturer, assistant professor or associate professor
depending upon applicant's qualification. All qualified applicants are
welcome to apply. The teaching language of the department is Chinese
(Mandarin).

    Beijing Normal University (BNU) has more than 100 years of
history, which is almost as long as the history of Chinese modern
education. The University has developed from the Faculty of Education,
Capital Metropolitan University established in 1902 under the concept
of Establish school, prioritize teacher education，which initiated
faculty training for Chinese higher education. After several times of
merging and reforming since 1949, especially in the 1980s, BNU has
gone through a rapid development era and now is among the top
comprehensive research universities in China. The Department of
Information Management is a featured department of the University. Its
faculty conducts research in a board range of research fields
including Digital Library Technology and Management, Information
Resource Management, Information Management Technology and Information
System, Information Resource Management, Information Retrieval,
Information Visualization, and Informetrics.

I. Qualifications
   1.     A Ph.D. degree in relevant fields.
   2.     Good academic training with successful teaching experience.
   3.     Good research experience and strong publication records.
   4.     Good team working and communication skill.

II. Remuneration package

    2.     Resume, transcripts, the proof of research publications and
working experience
    3.     The proof of studying experience since the bachelor degree
    4.     Research and teaching plan.
    5.     At least three recommendation letters by noted scholars in
relevant fields (including contact information of the recommenders).
