ECIR 2013 organizers will provide a limited number of grants to Master/PhD students willing to attend the conference. Preferences will be given to full-time students from developing countries presenting their work (nevertheless, those not presenting at the conference are eligible to apply) that have no alternative travel support. All applicants must be full-time students at the time of the conference.
There are three types of grants:
- registration fee waiver
- free housing
- registration fee waiver and free housing
Free housing will be provided at Higher School of Economics guesthouse in single and double rooms for up to four nights during the conference. The guesthouse is located Vavilova str, 7, in approximately 40 min travel to the conference venue. No grants covering other travel expenses will be provided.

Applicants must fill out the form http://bit.ly/ecir2013grant and send a confirmation of the student status (e.g. a scanned student ID) along with a detailed resume in PDF to grants@ecir2013.org
Application deadline is January 5, 2013. All applicants will be notified about the decision by January 9, 2013, so before early bird registration deadline (January 15, 2013). We ask grant applicants not to register with the conference before notification. We will not be able to provide any refunds. Those authors who applied for grants are allowed to register for the conference by January 15, 2013 (not by January 8, 2013 as required for the rest of the authors of accepted papers).
