Responsibilities: • Understand PaaS inside-out (e.g. architecture, feature and functions, integration points to others, future roadmap, etc.) to represent technical aspect of the entire platform. • Understand industry systems surrounding the PaaS offering, such as SAP, Oracle, legacy systems, Saleforce.com, and popular SaaS and on-premise offerings that may be target for integration with the PaaS offering. • Participate to sales process at very beginning of the phases to screen opportunities. This involves customer meetings and calls and RFP/RFI processes. Able to clearly explain reasons why the opportunities fit or not, and also what to be critical points for go after the opportunities afterwards for implementation. • Lead technical discussions with customers and partners to guide and manage expectations to win the opportunities. Where needed, also manage the entire project involving off-shore resources to deliver to expectations. • Work closely with PaaS Product Management team to communicate feedback from customers and partners, and articulate the needs for priority enhancements. • Drive technical talks and discussions in public domains, i.e. PaaS Developer Forum, to share visions, know-hows and tips to educate the audiences and promote the platform across specific technical community members both inside and outside the organization. • Work with cross-functional team on product launch-related activities. Requirements: • More than 10 years of related solution delivery/customer experience • Prior cloud solution experience or middleware software experience • Ability to work globally with other function such as R&D and Sales • Recognized by peers, management, customers and partners as an expert in his/her professional fields • Must be extremely process oriented and can manage multi-function complex and global-based tasks, projects, teams and work environments • 25% travel • Bachelors, and Masters preferred
