Zeeto Media (zeetomedia.com) is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing online performance marketing company and use sophisticated data driven mathematical methods to optimize our marketing and ad-buying efforts.
This role requires both hands-on algorithm development as well as player-coach technical leadership. You need to be both an individual contributor as well as a thought and technical leader, mentor, and senior, trained Algorithms Scientist who can help your team solve and implement statistical and machine learning algorithm problems. In addition, it is essential that you work well with software engineering and can use and learn related software and database tools as needed.
This position will be in our corporate office in Downtown San Diego, CA. You must be willing to live/relocate to this amazing city within a reasonable time frame.

10+ years post-academic and recent experience focused on algorithm development and statistical analysis of large datasets and real-time events.
Proven ability to balance probability and statistical theory and algorithms science with pragmatic problem solving skills, and a track record of developing and applying advanced predictive algorithms and behavior models implemented in software that solve real world data problems.
Ability to assist in hiring, growing, and mentoring other data scientists to assist in modeling efforts and to work with the software development team to implement algorithms in a production web environment.
Experience in modeling and optimizing various aspects of online advertising, as well as general familiarity with the online marketing space, are a plus.

Requirements
Ph.D. or equivalent work experience in Statistics, Applied Math, Machine Learning, CS, EE or related engineering discipline with focus, depth and current expertise in mathematical algorithms, probability theory, statistical modeling, and machine learning.10+ years post-academic and recent experience focused on algorithm development and statistical analysis of large datasets and real-time events.

- R, Matlab, or equivalent statistical computing platform
- SQL
- Experience with Big Data environments such as Cassandra or MongoDB a plus
