Hello sir,
I did my internship at Jubilant Organosys Ltd, Noida, a chemical and pharmaceutical company. I was in a group of four (i.e. Myself, Vivek Maskara, Divakar Kalyani and Gopal Prasad) .
We were asked to work for the R&D center of the company. We were supposed to develop a software for the HR team of the company. It was a pilot project so we were given full independence in selecting our platform and designing the whole system. Initially, we had a brief discussion with the HR team and we gathered their basic requirements which they were expecting from the supposed system.
The Recruitment Management System was supposed to take care of following issues
1. To integrate the details of every candidate being interviewed by the R&D center in one common database.
2. To sort out the candidates who are "Not Selected" or put "On Hold" on various requirements parameters (Qualification, experience, department to name a few) for future
requirements.
3. It was supposed to reduce the cost of fees paid for hiring to the Placement Agencies.
4. One of the main motto was to avoid interviewing the same candidates again and again just by checking his records in the database.
We chose VB as front end and MS Access as the database to implement the whole system.
Once we went with our basic design, we were able to impress the Head HR of that region and we were asked to implement the same for two R&D centers in Noida and one in
Uttrakhand. We successfully completed all the phases of s/w development (requirement gathering, design and testing). Now the s/w is installed at the server in Noida center and various computers at different centers connected through the server can access it
We even got help from Mayur Patil sir and Govind sir from time to time.
Altogether it was a wonderful learning experience in a place where we were the youngest ones as 60% of the employees are PHD. Lunch also used to be gr8!!
