OpenStack Cloud Engineering Python or Ruby
Major US Software Company with a Dublin based team of 200+ are building their own private cloud through OpenStack and has an opening for a software engineer with a background of either Ruby, Python or Node.js development to join the team.
The role will be hugely varied since this team are defining and building a cloud solution to be used by the company internally as a layer between HW and SW. Integrating OpenStack into the company’s ecosystem requires a significant portion of R&D, software development, building test automation tools, developing new applications and more besides.

Role / opportunity:
• Development through one or more of; Python, Ruby, Node.js
• Building hybrid cloud computing technologies – creating a provide cloud
• Using OpenStack as the core product
• Be part of a team of innovative, experienced engineers that have built highly available systems and services across the entire stack
• Without choosing to sound clichéd; passion, courage, imagination, and a sense of humor will be required here since you are forging new ground and shaping the future of computing within this PLC.
• Joining a team of 3 engineers in Dublin and 14 globally
• Dublin city center location
• Development through one or more of; Python, Ruby, Node.js
• Building hybrid cloud computing technologies – creating a provide cloud
• Using OpenStack as the core product

Skills / experience:
• Experience with OpenStack, Cloud Foundary or AWS
• Strong development experience with Python, Ruby or Node.js
• Must enjoy problem solving and technical challenging environments
• Being will to research and explore new and emerging technologies will be important
• Being comfortable with variety rather than being a purist
• Experience with OpenStack, Cloud Foundary or AWS
• Strong development experience with Python, Ruby or Node.js
