Telecommunications Software Developer:
Position Summary:
This job requires background in Telecom application development especially working with SNMP MIBS.
Essential Job Functions
Collaborate with oversees architects, peers, and stakeholders to develop extensible systems with an emphasis on maintainability and quality.
Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, in addition to collaborating with other team members to ensure effective test coverage.
Able to work independently and provide guidance and mentoring to others.
Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge)
5 or more years software development experience in multiple industries or domains preferably 2 years of experience in telecommunications software development.
Expert level understanding of system design and network fundamentals.
Strong working knowledge of SNMP v1, v2c v3, SNMP MIBs, Event Definition, Trap Manipulation
Familiar with Ethernet, IPv4 or IPv6, UDP, TCP, SNMP protocols and technologies.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with JDBC, ODBC, stored procedures. Familiarity with Oracle 11g or MySQL a plus.
Experience with network debugging tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, protocol sniffers etc.
At least 2 years of experience with UNIX-like Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris, BSD etc)

Passport is mandatory and should be open to travel Chicago once in year or twice
Experience range might be 2-5 Years
