industry events, Search Solutions aims to be highly interactive, with

Position Summary:
Samsung is seeking an experienced technical product manager to join their growing Cloud Innovation Lab. This position will be responsible for the definition of APIs for Services that plug into Samsung’s cloud platform. This involves Identifying which services are needed, how they connect to our platform and how these services are orchestrated to support a range of devices and use cases. As technical product manager, you will work very closely with Samsung product and technical teams to define key components of our cloud platform and the functionality it delivers across the Samsung Device Ecosystem.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and document requirements and use cases for Cloud Service Layer
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering and act as SCRUM Product Owner to develop detailed requirements and stories which support agile development of the cloud service layer
• Play an active role in the definition of RESTful APIs and ensure that the API contracts are intuitive and easy to use to achieve the intended goals
• Provide technical input and advice to help product management in defining the roadmap
• Technically research competitors products, assess competitive advantages and determine if/how this influences our offerings
• Work closely with Operations and Support team to ensure that their requirements are met and allow for a highly available and highly performing platform
• Play a proactive role in product and sprint planning and design to ensure the product meets the requirements
• Involved throughout the entire product lifecycle of the assigned products, working closely with engineering and product teams from across the organization
Background and Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have
• BS in Computer Science or Engineering
• 10+ years experience in managing high-tech products and services
• Cloud computing, hosting, server virtualization, SaaS and PaaS knowledge and experience
• Programming and Scripting experience a plus
• Experience with detailed product definition, release planning and execution
• Experience with competitive analysis and technology assessments
• Good understanding of industry trends and technology evolution
• Proven record of working with developers (both inside and outside of the company)
• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies like SCRUM with relevant experience in all phases of a Product Release Cycle
• Proven ability to identify and understand market, competition and customer requirements
