Graduate Fellowship in Information Retrieval, Textual Data Mining or Healthcare Informatics



Textual Data Analytics (TEANA) Laboratory in the Department of Computer Science at Wayne State University headed by Dr. Alexander Kotov (http://www.cs.wayne.edu/kotov/) is seeking one highly motivated graduate student interested in conducting research in theoretical information retrieval, textual data mining or healthcare informatics. Applicants are expected to have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics from an internationally recognized institution and have strong programming skills. Upon selection, the student is expected to start in the Fall of 2015 and will be fully supported by Thomas C. Rumble fellowship.

Wayne State University is among the 50 largest public universities in the United States with nearly 28,000 students. Wayne State has the Carnegie Foundation classification of RU/VH (Research University, Very High research activity). Best graduates of Computer Science Department at Wayne State consistently get jobs at top technology companies and tenure-track faculty positions at peer institutions (e.g. Florida State University and College of William and Mary).
