ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

The Google Student Ambassador is a liaison between Google and your college/university. The Ambassadors would plan and host a few events during the school year, introduce students to new Google products and features, and act as campus contacts for Google teams. The Google Student Ambassadors may:
|
|
|
Work closely with local Google teams;
|
|
Host and organize events to drive awareness about Google's products and brand;
|
|
Spread the word about competitions, boot camps, scholarships and other opportunities;
|
|
Attend Google events as Google representatives;
|
|
Help Google understand your campus' culture better;
|
|
Build relationships on campus with faculty and student groups;
|
|
Test cutting-edge products and features;
|
|
Promote product use and new product launch among students; and
|
|
Be a source of knowledge for your institution about Google products.
|
|
|
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
|
|
We would like you to select some of the best students from your college/university (from across multiple departments) who meet the following criteria:
|
|
|
Well acquainted with the institute and motivated to bring new opportunities to his/her peers;
|
|
Technologically savvy and thrilled by new technology;
|
|
A natural leader;
|
|
Passionate and self-motivated (the area of their passion can range from engineering to design, to social sciences, to arts);
|
|
Active on campus, and display high levels of energy;
|
|
Well connected with students and faculty members;
|
|
Possess creative traits; and
|
|
Willing to learn new things.
|
|
|
To put it in a nutshell, we are looking for someone who will channel his/her energy to help take your institution to the next level.
|
|
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
|
|
This opportunity is open to students from technical and non-technical studies. Google Student Ambassadors must be:
|
|
|
Enrolled in a college or university for the 2013-14 academic year in India;
|
|
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (pre-final year students during the 2013-14 academic year, i.e., students who are entering their 3rd year if it's a 4-year degree program, or students entering their 2nd year if it's a 3-year degree program);
|
|
Pursuing a Master's degree (PhD is also accepted);
|
|
Able to plan events and manage budget;
|
|
Actively involved in student life on campus; and
|
|
Influencers – have a good relationship with the students and faculty members.
|
|
|
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
|
|
|
One Academic Year (July 2013 to June 2014); and
|
|
Approximately Ten (10) Hours per Month.
|
|
|

Please send the details to gsa2013@beahead.biz by 18th May, 2013. Once we receive your referral list, we will contact the students and ask them to submit an application.
